Chief Godson Ezenagu, the SDP flagbearer for Awka North & South Federal Constituency, yesterday was a special guest of honour at the burial ceremony of Late Chief Anago James Nnacheta (Umunna Nwezuaku) in Amaezike Village, Mgbakwu, Awka North.
Ochendo and his entourage were happily received by Honourable ThankGod Anago (Okenwa), the son of the deceased.
In his keynote address to the family of the deceased, Ochendo extolled the virtues of the late Chief Anago James, citing him as a leader of men and a model to the community. He encouraged Hon.
ThankGod Anago to be strong in the midst of sorrow and strive hard to continue in the tenaciously positive footsteps and great strides of his father.
Senator Uche Ekwunife who was also in attendance condoled with the deceased's family and thereafter joined Ochendo in his table where they both exchanged hugs and drinks in a public show of self respect and support.
The Senator talked about the history of Ochendo's works and fight for APGA over the years to be the party it is today in Anambra only for him to be stabbed at the back twice, she therefore called on the people of Awka North and South to vote for him for he merited it more due to his perseverance, patience and long-suffering. Ochendo also reciprocated the gesture by calling on the people who put her in the Senate chambers to ensure that she remains there for her second tenure..
