Gov Obiano ,Eulogies Igwe Indigo, as a Man of Peace


The Anambra state Governor ,Chief Willie Obiano has eulogised the departed Traditional Ruler of Aguleri, Igwe Christopher Idigo for keeping the kingdom on a steady path of peace and development for the past 24 years.


The governor was speaking during a Service of songs held at Amaigwe, Aguleri as part of final rites of passage for the late Monarch.

The remains of the Late Igwe Idigo had earlier arrived the kingdom in a motorcade and stopped over at various spots in keeping with the traditions of the land.

Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Obiano said the late Igwe has distinguished himself as a frontline traditional ruler in both conduct and leadership, as well as brought people of the community together in unity.

He prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed King.

In their separate remarks, some cabinet Chiefs in the kingdom, Chief Marcel Ifejiofor, Chief Tony Olih and Chinedu Obidigwe said Eze Idigo will be greatly missed by all in the community, praying that God will grant them a successor that will keep the light of peace and unity aglow in the kingdom.

The service of songs was well attended by members of the community, members of the State Executive Council and friends of the Community.
