Governor Obiano after inspecting the accident scene proceeded immediately to St Joseph hospital Adazi Nnukwu where the injured victims were already receiving medical attention.
In his reaction, Obiano regretted the huge loss, and ordered the transfer of the victims to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching hospital Amaku-Awka for better Medicare. This was because the accident was said to have been occasioned by brake failure of a heavy duty truck carrying heavy metal objects which then smashed two vehicles that were coming from opposite direction.
