Kevin Hart made his first official appearance since his
involvement in a major car crash, as he attended the People's Choice Awards
which took place in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 10, 2019.
The American comedian and actor fractured his spine on
September 1 in Calabasas, California, and has since been in rehab following the
car crash.
In his first public appearance since the accident, the
father of three took to the stage at the People's Choice Awards to accept the
trophy for The Comedy Act Of 2019 award from Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr.
"First and
foremost thank God because I definitely don't have to be here," Hart began
his acceptance speech.
"Being that I
am, it makes me appreciate life more. It makes me appreciate the things that
really matter. I want to thank my wife and my kids. They really stepped up to
the plate for me."
The comedian who attended the event with wife Eniko Parrish,
35, and his daughter Heaven Hart, 14 added: "I also want to take the time
to thank the People's Choice Awards, just for this. This is amazing. But more
importantly, the people, man. You have no idea the effect that you have on us
as entertainers. Your energy, your support, it means the world and I truly want
to thank you guys for being there for me in my difficult time. This is special.
They all are. I do not take them for granted. Thank you so much. God bless
everyone in this room. Peace."
