In Hero Fiesta Patoranking, Illbliss, Timaya, others thrills audience at Onitsha



It was a night of fun and excitement as popular Nigerian music artists took to the stage to thrill and entertain an already expectant crowd at the fifth edition of Hero Lager Fiesta at Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium, Onitsha, Anambra state , at the weekend .



Onitsha commercial city came alive as artists like Patoranking, Tekno, Illbliss, Zoro, Timaya, Sunny Bobo and Rudeboy, got the eager crowd pumped and energized, performing their hit songs as they celebrated with Hero Lager, a premium brand from the stable of International Breweries, a proud part of the AB InBev family.

It was a night of fun as artists one after the other thrilled the crowd performing fan favorite songs, delivering on good music and performances. The fiesta kept on till the early hours of the following day with party goers thoroughly enjoying a night with Hero.

Hero Fiesta is an annual music extravaganza, a truly exciting and exuberant party atmosphere put together by International Breweries to celebrate its customers for their patronage and loyalty, while identifying with the culture and traditions of the people resident in the South-Eastern part of the country.

Speaking at the event, the Marketing Director, International Breweries, Plc., Mrs. Tolu Adedeji said “every year, the Hero Fiesta is held to appreciate loyal fans of the brand as well as connect the brand with its teeming consumers and customers.

"Onitsha has always been the venue for this annual festivity to show gratitude to the people who welcomed the Hero beer into their family and made it their own. As usual, we are glad to have delivered a brilliant music/entertainment experience to beer and music lovers who came out in their thousands to have a splendid moment with their favourite beer,” Adedeji said.

The brand seized the opportunity of the fiesta to also introduce the 'Echefula' cans, a set of new attractive cans with interesting appellations; Igwe, Nwanne, Dike, Ada, and Odogwu which serve as reminders to consumers to never forget who they are.

"No matter who the consumer is, there is a special design for them.  These designs are also on the Hero bottles and are designed to be shared with friends.

“Hero brand is a loyalist brand and does not take lightly the people’s choice to make Hero their preferred drink. Christened ‘Oh Mpa’, (Mpa means father in Igbo language) by the people, the new cans were borne to celebrate the identity of every consumer as part of the 'Echefula' Never forget your identity campaign.

"We are super excited about the new culture infused designs on the cans and bottles of Hero and happy to encourage our consumers to collect and share these various designs  that connects the most with them whether Igwe, Nwanne, Ada, Odogwu or Dike,” Adedeji added .

 Recently, Hero Lager kicked off a unique campaign tagged (Echefula) “Never Forget Your Identity”, encouraging Hero loyalists to feel confident and show pride for their heritage, way of life, beliefs and tradition and Never Forget our identity as HEROes. 
Just last year, Hero Lager Beer got a new crown cork -a Red Cork with the Obi of Onitsha on hand to perform the Red Capping ceremony. The red cap ideology is of high importance to the South East people of Nigeria as it represents the peak of achievement, societal status and recognition for any individual or brand.
