Aisha Buhari Calls For National Lockdown To Curb Spread Of Coronavirus

Nigeria now has 36 confirmed cases of Coronavirus with one death recorded so far.

Aisha, wife of Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari, has called on the government to shutdown activities to curtail the spread of Coronavirus in the country.

In a tweet on Monday, she said, "It is commendable that state governors have closed down schools; however, this could be counterproductive if parents are still going to work.

"We should not isolate students and expose their parents.

"Let us remember that they will meet at home.#TotalLockDown#StayAtHome."
