2019 YOUTH SUMMIT : NIGERIA DESTINY IS IN OUR HANDS -- Youth Leader


The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) recently held it's summit at Awka, the Anambra state capital


The round table summit attracted Board of Trustees (BOT) of the council and also Youths from within and outside the state.

Deputy President (NYCN) Ambassador Innocent Nduanya in his welcome address said "The programme is coming at the right time especially as the general election
 draws nearer.

"The essence of this programme is to give Nigeria youth a sense of direction. For them to know what they want.

Nduanya emphased on the fact that the destiny of Nigeria youths is in there hands. He disclosed that a document will be filled at the end of the programme which will be sent to all politicial parties aspirin to lead the country.

"Who ever that is ready to do what the youth requires will definitely have the support of the youths. We are tired of been referred to as the leaders of tomorrow. We want the youths to be at the helm of affairs of these country.

"At our age,  so many of our present leaders were already in government and up till this moment, they don't want to give up.

"The youth take over is a process. Youths need to be conscientized. We are not ready to be used any longer for thuggery, election regging or any election related violence because we are matured. By 2023, we are dreaming of a youthful president.

Chairman of the event Prince Dr. Makinwa Aderite in his speech described youths as the backbone of any society.

According to him "Nigeria youth are fully equipped to contribute to nation building. Energetic, enthusiastic and bold. This is the best time for Nigeria youths to regain their consciousness by doing the right thing.

"The youth constitute the majority of the voters and it is time for the youths to take their rightful place by voting the right people. They should not be allowed to be used for the wrong reasons.
