Ekwunife Felicitates Soludo Over Successful Swearing-In Ceremony



The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, has felicitated with HE Prof Charles Soludo on his successful Inauguration as the executive governor of Anambra state.

Governor Soludo, who won the last year's gubernatorial election in the state took the oath of office on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Governor's Office Quadrangle, Government House, Awka. The event was graced by the immediate-past governor, HE Willie Obiano, former governor, HE Peter Obi, Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uchenna Okafor, members of National Assembly, State House of Assembly amongst other dignitaries.

In her congratulatory message, Ekwunife noted that the inauguration signified a remarkable day in the state, adding that she is hopeful that Soludo's administration will herald economic development in all the sectors of governance in the state.


The Senator urged the new governor to employ a transparent, accountable, gender-inclusive and people-centered governance. She reminded him to restore law and order by prioritizing the security of lives and property of the people of state which remains the primary responsibility of every responsible government.

Continuing, the federal lawmaker encouraged religious, traditional, political figures and other stakeholders irrespective of party affiliation to rally round the governor and work to the actualization of the vision, goals and dreams of the state's founding fathers as the light of the Nation.



The Chairman Senate Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation further congratulated the deputy governor, HE Dr Onyedikachi Ibezim and charged him to work together with the governor for the greater good of the state. "I pray to God to give Soludo and his deputy the wisdom and knowledge to pilot the affairs of the state. May their administration be successful", she concluded.

Earlier, during his inaugural address, Governor Soludo promised that his administration would work very hard to make the people of the state proud, adding that he feels the weight of history.
