SAFETY TIPS CHILDREN


§  Children should be advised to refuse rides offered by strangers.

§  Children should be discouraged from having rides with friends or parents of their friends without first obtaining permission from their own parents.

§  Children should always inform their parents before embarking on any trip with their friends or school mates.

§  Children should be taught not to give out their house addresses and phone numbers to anybody including their friends, without their parent consent.

§  Children should be educated on the need to report their parents any unusual movement of persons and vehicles around the house.

§  Teach your children to tell you the visitors your house help receives whenever you are not around talk to your children about sex, drug abuse and cultism before someone else does.

§  Teach your children to tell you what your house help says about them.

§  Children should be educated on the need to recognize callers on the phone before entering into any conversation with them.

§  Children should be taught not to disclose information to any one that calls at the house.

§  Children should be advised not walk on lonely roads.

§  Do not allow your children to bring in too many friends to your house. If they must bring their friends, the movement of such friends should be restricted to the main compound or living rooms.
