In September 2015, she stabbed her boyfriend Farid Mohammed 22 times and killed him.

It was said that she enjoyed each and every stab wound she inflicted on his dead boyfriend. She has no remorse.

she claimed she killed him out of jealousy, when she discovered that he was still keeping in touch with his former girlfriend.

Ruth Wanjiru Kamande was found guilty of murder and sentenced to death in 2017.
