There
was a mild drama on Thursday in Awka, Anambra State, as a 19-year-old man,
Sunday Owo, who visited a psychic home for money rituals was exposed by the
spiritualist.
He
was arrested with fresh human parts and a bottle of blood.
The
suspect, said to be a native of Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State,
had in his possession the pubic region of a boy and his fingers.
Owo
said he was asked by one Blessing, who is currently at large, to produce the
human parts for money rituals.
He
stated, “She (Blessing) brought me here two days ago and said that madam
instructed her to tell me to bring the body parts that I will have money
“Her
name is Blessing, and she is also from Ebonyi State. We had to travel back to
Ebonyi State to get these parts, because she said we couldn’t get them here. I
paid her N50,000 for linking me up with the natural healing home but I don’t
know where she is now.”
Reacting,
the owner of the Centre for Psychic Healing and Administration, Awka, Mrs
Ifeanyichukwu Ilonzo, said she was shocked at the development.
She
stated that she had to invite both the police and the media to witness the
drama, which she described as strange.
Ilonzo
added that she was on a ward round after morning prayers with her staff when
they saw the suspect, who claimed to be looking for her.
She
stated, “We were on a ward round when we saw a man with a nylon bag, who said
he was looking for me to hand over the bag to me. As soon as we opened the bag
and saw the content, I instructed my staff not to let him go and quickly
invited security agencies and the media to also witness what we saw.”
She
said one Blessing Eze had come to her office for fibroid issue, adding that she
gave her prescription and she left but never returned.
Ilonzo
urged the police to identify the parents of the murdered child and fish out the
Blessing working as the suspect’s accomplice.
