Enugu youth has been called upon to continue to support the Governor, to achieve all his youth oriented programs

Enugu youths has been called upon to double their support for the Enugu state governor RT Hon Dr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in his second term so as to successfully accomplish all his youth oriented programs for the youth of the state.
This call came from Comr Ogechukwu Nnamene who served in the the Governor first term as his  special Assistant on Youth Affairs made this plea to youth leaders during a thank you reception  for youth leaders drawn from various youth organizations in the state on 29th may 2019 just after the swearing in of the governor for second term in office.

Comr Nnamene stressed that his excellency is more committed than ever on issues concerning the wellbeing of Enugu youth.

He also used the opportunity to thank the leaders for their support that guaranteed a hitch free re election for the Governor.

He equally used the opportunity to call on the youth leaders to beware of men that are calling for cancellation of 2023 zoning arrangement and described such men as the enemy of the governor and men that loves chaos. In his words he said " severally during the campaign, his Excellency has shown committment to the zoning arrangement by announcing his support for the return of power to Nkanu land ( Enugu east senatorial zone), so men who are not ignorant of such declaration yet choose to declare otherwise should be best described as enemy of the governor", secondly he stressed that such men wants to bring us back to Chaotic election by creating a scenario that will allow the three zones to be on each others neck over the governance of the state, thereby introducing thuggery, violence and blood shed. This, the church and faith based youth organizations should mobilize and pray against because we have experienced violence during elections and have also experienced peace as seen in 2019 election and have resolved that there is no better place to be than in the hands of God where peace reigns

The lives of Enugu youth cannot be sacrificed because of anyone's ambition or allow men that have chosen to be deliberately unreasonable to jeopardize the peace we enjoy in the state.

Other speakers in the reception, include the state chairman of Youth council, Comr Paschal Nnaemeka Ugwu, Ohaneze Ndigbo youth wing, Comr wencelaus Ogbonna ,Comr Temple Chinedu Chika( Former state chairman NYCN) also threw their weight behind the call for the support for the Governor and also commended the Governor for his resolve to create more space for young people in government.

The Reception attracted about Hundred youth leaders drawn from NYCN, Ohaneze Ndigbo youth wing,Faith based youth organizations, Nkanu youth council, Nigerian youth parliament, Enugu state youth Assembly,Coal city youth initiative and so on.
