The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Anambra State chapter, earlier today, paid a courtesy visit to High Chief Dr. Azubuike Ekweozor (Ide Umuawulu) at Umuawulu, his country home.
The chairman of the NUJ Anambra State chapter, Dr. Odogwu Emeka Odogwu who led the delegation, said that the visit to Ide Umuawulu was to present the newly elected executives of the union to him as a media-friendly man and also to invite him to their forthcoming Congress.
Dr. Odogwu described Ide Umuawulu as a partner in progress and a media accommodative person. He appreciated Ide Umuawulu for his age-long support to the union and like Oliver Twist, asked that the union still needs such partnership with him.
The vice-chairman of the NUJ Anambra State chapter, Mrs. Ngozi Obileri, in her remark, described Ide Umuawulu as a media-savvy individual; she thanked him for his kindness and announced the union's support to Ide Global Movement.
Welcoming them, Ide Umuawulu who was elated with the courtesy call, thanked them for the visit and their overwhelming support and further assured them of his utmost assistance anytime the need arises.
